AI detection for education

How does it work? ↓

detectAI uses a language model, much like the one in GPT-3, but smaller. Instead of generating text, this model is trained to classify whether a given piece of text is made by a human, or an AI.

What AI models does it work on? ↓

detectAI can detect outputs from ChatGPT, GPT-3, GPT-2, and GPT-J. It can also detect outputs from other AI models, such as NovelAI.

Are the results accurate? ↓

Although we are confident in the results of detectAI, we are still working on improving the accuracy of the model. More importantly, we are working on lowering the false positive rate of the model. Currently, detectAI is competitive with OpenAI's detector model and GPTZero.

Is there an API? ↓

There is a beta version of the API that will be made available soon.
